Abstract

Nasal obstruction due to hypertrophy of inferior turbinate is common. There are many medical and surgical treatment modalities for these nasal obstructions due to inferior turbinate hypertrophy. We operated 146 patients for nasal obstructions due to inferior turbinate hypertrophy. 91% of the patients satisfied with the results of submucous turbinate resection (STR).

According to our clinical experience with STR, this surgical technique does not alter nasal anatomy and nasal physiology and related complications are uncommon.
